About JSA

JSA is a nonprofit arts academy within Jackson High School in Jackson Township, Ohio. Established in 2001, JSA offers specialized curriculum, experiential learning, competition, and community service opportunities to talented students in grades 9 through 12. Students may submit an application for acceptance to JSA during grade 8.

In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, JSA students are offered experiential learning in Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, Visual Art, Theatre, and Dance. Each student ultimately selects a concentration.

During the senior year of study, students complete a Capstone Project that illustrates learning outcomes within the concentration they have selected. The positive results of this program have been immeasurable.
